needs bigger wheels n wheel base, better (longer) handle to move from point a to point b, have only run into one really knotty round that it just couldn’t handle…. so far so good!2.5 cords n counting.

would give it 5 stars if it didn’t tip over on uneven ground getting it to splitting area!

We were a bit sceptical being used to a splitter hooked up to end-loader at home but hard to get to our Lake of the Woods, Ontario island property. Have split unseasoned pine, birch & ash over 20″ and have not been stopped or had to swing the maul yet. Had to reposition or flip a few but no sweat. Do wish the ram would travel a bit closer to the splitting edge and plan to connect two levers to one a bit longer but no big deal. The speed is comparable to our big splitter. Have done a couple of cords so far and no problems. Easy to transport and quite affordable. Can buy several of these for the price of a gas outfit. No brainer if you have power available.

Purchased this splitter because of the price. Didn’t expect the power of a gasoline splitter but was pleasantly surprised. Had a malfunction when placing the “O” rings between the pump and the hydraulic jack but the manufacturer included four extra and replaced the ones that had shifted when I tightened the bolts down. First used the splitter on a red oak that was dead in the yard. Red oak is easy to split except when you encounter the knots. With a little effort positioning the knots and lifting the end of the log a little it done every log with ease. If you do a lot of splitting this isn’t the splitter for you but for the home user it does the job easily. The most positive aspect is that the splitter is electric and you don’t have to put up with the noise of the gas engine. If it wasn’t for the problem with the positioning of the “O” ring it would have been a five star.

with a little common sense this thing works great! follow the instructions and it works fine. use it as it was inteded to be used, as a small diameter splitter. owned it for only a few days, but it has split everything i tried, green oak crotches, poplar, red oak, white oak, all fresh cut POWERHOUSE is a fitting name

I used this splitter to split red oak, logs were 18 to over 22 inches in diamater and no more then 20 inches long… I would recommend this splitter to friends as long as you split with the grain of the log you will have no problems with this machine…..
