Cool video about electric log splitter, take a look:

We are very happy with our decision to get the 5 ton Electric log splitter from Lowes. It was well worth the $300 we paid for it! The best feature being no exhaust fumes like you get with a traditional gas powered unit. The engine runs suprisingly quiet, and split our wood with ease. It can take a log @ 20″ long and up to 10″ in diameter. (We have a small potbelly stove, thats why our wood is cut so short.) Another nice feature is that the push rod retracts quite quickly, unlike the slow return on our neighbors big gas powered splitter. The unit is compact and stands up for storage. This is the perfect tool for a homeowner with a few cords to split.

I bought my 5 horse electric Task force wood splitter for $300 and well worth ever dollar spent. I was amazed on how well it is built. Very solid and I can split 24 in round by 16 in long No problem at all. Haven’t tried oak yet. But some notty hard wood can be hard for it. Just had to rotate the wood.
Over all I love it as stated well worth the money.

can you plug this in a regular 15amp outlet or does it require a 20amp outlet?

I just purchased this today and damn it works great, the price is perfect to .

Thanks for the permission?
It may have no fumes from the motor but how was the electric produced?
Seems a bit pointless for the size of logs it cuts thats all

feel free…

Rather use an axe tbh :/

It says it can split a max of 21″ long by 10 inch around. We have had it 2 seasons now, had mixed wood delivered and no problems.

How does this deal with lets say 18 inch long and 10 inch wide logs? Also wats the hardest log u have cut with it? Obviously it couldnt split bodark but should have a problem at all with post oak would it?

Yes, don’t forget the screw. I did the first time and it did not work so well. oops.

Just got mine on sale Lowes $249 – after manually ax’ing two full cords this thing is a treat. I threw over 19″ oak rounds and most split – the others I axed in half then used the TF to do the rest. btw REMEBER to loosen the hydraulic screw at the end BEFORE each use…and then close if relocating unit – must do this!
I split a full cord the other night.
Great buy! and it is quiet too compared to ryobi elec spliiter I bought for someone else.

used it today, it says max 10″ by 21″ long…

For that, we just had normal firewood delivered, but we have a small potbelly stove so we need to make the wood really small.
This splitter can split regular sized logs with ease tho…

How did the wood your splitting in the video get to be that size? In other words this didn’t demonstrate actual logs split. Those pieces were already split…and small. Thanks for uploading though.,

How does it do with hedge

1) Could anyone give me Task Force (the manufactor) website? 2) what is the max LENGTH this splitter will accomodate?

Those little log splitters are very powerfull. If the wood is short it will do a very big diameter log..I have 6 ton electric splitter and it plows through the wood i love it…

Try to get parts for it! My local Lowe’s no longer carries it or any parts. . .

It does. We think its great.

we have a small woodstove, its perfect for us.

When you have 3 cords to split, this thing is great…

get an axe
