Spliting wood with this is fine and all but does it fix you a steak and fetch you a beer when your done in the wood lot?
@anooseholay ……….a waste of time chasing logs, no way one guy can do 4 cord an hour like they claim, every time you go back and touch the log you lose time and money, complete automation is the key like this setup

The best spliting design comes from Rainer Hydraulics in Oregon. Look for their website and video of their product ‘The Chomper’ and see how that machine works. Wood that is sheard on the ends will dry faster as most of the moisture in wood comes from the ends of the wood rather than out the sides that have been split.

Splitting characteristics of wood is as different as there is wood. BUT from all the videos on here, there is quite a difference in how wood is split or we could say shattered! I’m interested for out -put being uniform and the least amount of shatter loss. Is it the wood or is it a better splitter that keeps the shattering to a minimum. Already said on here, you can’t sell splitters. I can’t help but think the splitter design is more important.
yep… about 190-240 depending how far i have to go with it… i dont know where you are but with log prices down all we really have is firewood right now, i just bought almost 2500 cord on 3 lots which will take me a year to cut including the logs….
Circle saws aren’t made to cut cross grain. You would need a slasher type saw or an offset tooth saw like the old buzz rigs had years ago
damn 500 cords a year.. its goin for $200+ a cord here this year.. $100k
It looks easy to work on, and i like the elevator, we cut + or – 500 cord a year and we sell so much wood because it is CLEAN, if you put to much chips in it forget repeat customers, plus this machine only costs maybe 50k which is alot less than a multitek… but i think the pto is no good… they have a diesel kubota model now…

i would want one with its own motor.. it wouldnt take long to rack up 1,000 hours on your tractor. tractors arent cheap specialy if you have a brand new new holland like i do. in no time at all you would have a nice looking tractor that had a worn out motor.

they be better of using a saw tooth from a
portable saw mill to cut the wood.
This processor does just what reelife says it does but I’m having trouble accepting that big pile of chewed up fire wood that the narrator calls free heat. More like lost sales. That multi splitting head tears up good fire wood into splinters.
This machine is excellent for bulk work but there’s nothing like holding an axe in your hands and feeling the chop go through your whole body.
be nicer if the chain was diamond carbide.
ud have to sharpen it once your done every 2 cords
at normal rate.
